Human Rights House Belgrade has, within the House to House support program of the Human Rights House Foundation (HRHF), together with the Human Rights House Zagreb and the Human Rights House Tbilisi, implemented the project Assessment to Action – Protection and Empowerment of Human Rights Defenders in Croatia, Georgia and Serbia.

The overarching goal of this mutual cooperation was to provide recommendations for improving the position of human rights defenders in each of these countries. Exchanging experience, knowledge and skills during this year, these Houses founded and improved their cooperation in order to further develop their research skills both at the regional and international level on the topic of human rights defenders, as well as to promote work on how to preserve basic human rights and civil liberties of each individual.

Monitoring and collecting data on the situation and violations of human rights in the country, Human Rights Belgrade has created a report on human rights defenders, presenting basic problems and challenges that human rights activists in Serbia have been facing with nowadays.
